DBC Training and Education

 DBC Basic and DBC Collaboration

Operational information for the DBC Basic is delivered remotely and by the software itself. Built into the software there are operational videos and explanations on the functioning. The software training supports the software as a standalone operating system. DBC also provides an associated electronic Basic software user’s manual that covers the overall functions of the software provided at the DBC Basic membership level. DBC support assistance is also delivered remotely via the DBC software support and helpdesk. DBC Collaboration

DBC training and education begins at the DBC Collaboration, with introductory education on the practical treatment elements found in the Collaboration level software. The Collaboration software provides access to sections of the DBC Solutions Extranet and the utilization of the online/electronic treatment support solutions are the highlight of the DBC Collaboration membership. The DBC Collaboration Solution provides a larger exposure to the DBC treatment process, which requires more introduction and explanation into DBC processes, and this larger exposure is available via the DBC Extranet services. Online and Distant support assist with the application of the online clinical materials while the DBC Extranet blogs and discussion areas provide support to the DBC Solution clinical processes provided; The Extranet material delivers up-to-date scientific support material to the therapists in the clinic along with Clinical blog providing tips on how to apply scientific research finding into the treatment programs in the clinic.

DBC Enterprise and DBC Concept Clinic

At this stage of the DBC Solutions trainers start working with the clinic owners and physiotherapists at the clinic to provide the therapist training from a DBC Solutions perspective. The Initial DBC therapist training consists of 2-5 days depending on the device installation in the clinic and is designed to build on the previous physical therapy education. After the Initial Training the clinic moves onto the Continued Education Process that is developed in conjunction with the clinic therapists and owners to plan the DBC physiotherapy training courses best suited to the clinic needs.

Initial Training

The length of the Initial Training is dependent on the systems delivered to the clinic; 2-5 days of therapist training based on the below breakdown. The DBC therapy training is not designed to be a basic physical therapy education, but instead we are providing a DBC physical therapy training on the how to provide the DBC clinical solutions. Each one of the DBC therapist training units listed below is a one day training program delivered locally by one of the international trainers at DBC.

Unit 1 – Introduction to DBC treatment and methodology
Unit 2 – Back
Unit 3 – Neck
Unit 4 – Shoulder
Unit 5 – Knee

After the delivery of the required physiotherapy training courses included in the initial training packages there is a schedule developed by the physiotherapists and clinic owners that will suit their specific clinic needs. This schedule developed after the Initial Training is the Continued Education and Support Program for that individual clinic, which is designed to support the clinic operations for the following year after the delivery of this Initial Training.

Continued Education and Support Program

DBC trainers will provide local DBC physiotherapy training courses 2-4 times within one year of the Initial DBC therapy training. The goal of this Follow-Up therapist training schedule is to ensure that the clinic and physiotherapists at the local clinic are getting the most out of the DBC Systems installed at the clinic and to assist the clinic operators in delivering the best possible outcomes for the patients in the clinic.

The local Continued Education may consist of:

Trainers working with the therapists in the local clinic for 2-3 clinic days

Trainers observing clinic operations, assisting with program building for patients, and developing the DBC System applications with the therapists.

The trainer working with the local needs on scheduling of patients, design of small group physical therapy training programs and booking the treatment processes.

Trainers assisting to implement the Clinical Operations Manual that supports all of the different aspects of the clinical business

Ongoing Distant Continued Education Resources

Not all DBC therapy training courses are delivered locally at the clinic, but much of the additional physical therapy training material will be delivered remotely vie the DBC Extranet site. The depth of this additional DBC therapy training material is dependent on the DBC Solution membership as well as the systems that are applied in the clinic. This additional therapy training material includes, but is not limited to the following materials:

·

DBC IP material on the Extranet, supporting the DBC treatment concepts

Scientific Blog with reference support material

Clinical Blog with clinical hints and tips on how to apply the scientific support material in a clinically relevant fashion
